All residents have a choice of activities, some of which may be provided within the Care package and others which may be in addition to regular activities.
A standard Care package with no additional 1 to1 care time, allows us to offer an average of 2 outings a week to a local destination of choice. Shopping trips are a popular outing. The Hydrotherapy pool at the William Harvey Hospital is hired by us on a weekly basis for residents.
Activities also take place in our Homes, including regular movie and karaoke nights, board games, arts and crafts and barbeques.
Many of our residents visit their own homes regularly with our transport and support.
Some residents attend college on a regular basis to learn new skills or just experiment with old ones and meet new friends, whilst others join local clubs for pub or disco nights.
We have a fleet of specially adapted vehicles used for individual trips or special events. We often visit London for sightseeing trips, theatre shows, the London Eye, and the museums.

Other outings have included flower shows at Chelsea and Hampton Court, Bewl Water sailing at Lamberhurst, and the Philharmonic Orchestra and firework displays at Leeds Castle.

We also support local attractions like the Aspinall Zoo Foundation at Canterbury and Lympne where a single entry ticket provides access for a whole year.

The Leas Cliff Hall at Folkestone is another source of entertainment where our residents frequently go to see the local amateur dramatic society perform.

We regularly book holidays on behalf of our residents enabling them to visit places that would not be possible within the care package. They are accompanied by our own carers on a voluntary basis.

These holidays have been as far away as New Zealand or as close as Camber Sands. We have also taken cruises to Norway and the Mediterranean.
When we are not out and about, no excuse is needed to celebrate at home. We have a good rapport with a few local entertainers and residents regularly party to music with family and friends on a weekend.
More of our residents varied activities are on the Residents News page.
